The Chinese program offers language classes from the beginning to the advanced levels. It also offers courses on Chinese philosophy, literature, and culture. It has a summer study abroad program at Nankai University in Tianjin, China, where students can earn up to eight credits toward their Chinese major or minor. The program aims to provide a well-rounded education on China and to help our students master the necessary language skills and intellectual understanding/capability that would prepare them for a career in a China-related field. After graduation, many of our graduates have entered the best graduate programs in the country, which include, but are not limited to, Asian Studies, International Studies, law schools, business schools, and medical schools. Many of our graduates have found employment in government service and the private sector.
