Hebrew Studies courses at the University of Utah are designed to acquaint the student with topics such as the Hebrew Bible, Jewish Civilization, Judeo-Christian relations, the Holocaust, and the social and geo-political context of the modern state of Israel. Thematically, such courses are closely linked to (and often cross-listed with) other curricular streams in the College of Humanities, such as Religious Studies, Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies, Classics, and Middle East Studies. For information about the Hebrew Studies concentration in Middle East Studies, please click here.

Language courses in Modern Israeli Hebrew and Biblical Hebrew are offered occasionally, but not as an option through which to fulfill the B.A. Language Requirement.
