It enabled me to advocate to ensure that projects I run are in other languages, making them accessible to more people, and allowing me to participate in Diversity Committees for Salt Lake County and the City of Las Vegas. Additionally, I currently collaborate with Latinx leaders and communities in Nevada on state policies, where speaking another language makes us better connect with those we are trying to serve.
