Professor Talía Dajes article receives the Best Essay Award from the Latin American Studies Association

Professor Talía Dajes article “Crímenes íntimos: incesto y violencia política en el cine peruano contemporáneo" (published in A Contracorriente, 2020) received the Best Essay Award from the Latin American Studies Association's (LASA) Film Studies Section. LASA, the largest professional association for the study of Latin America. Dajes received her Ph.D., Romance Languages and Literatures - Spanish, University of Michigan. She has been a faculty member of the Department of World Languages & Cultures from 2016.
